Welcome to the Shalom Village Website: Shalom Village - a beautiful place to live.
WE NEED YOUR HELP!
THE 60 BED AGED CARE HOSTEL IS BEING CONSTRUCTED NOW!
The Shalom Retirement Village has supplied independent living units since the mid 1980s for those senior citizens still able to care for themselves.
We are currently building a 60 bed low care hostel for the aged, with 12 beds for those suffering from dementia. Hopefully it will be completed February 2003.

CONSTRUCTION OF THE NEXT STAGE OF DEVELOPMENT HAS BEGUN: AUGUST 2002.
The Shalom Retirement Village is an intiative of the Queensland Baptists.
A hostel catering for sixty low-care beds, including 12 for dementia patients, is currently being constructed at our site near the Fitzroy River, at 121 Maloney Street North Rockhampton, in Central Queensland, some 600 kilometres north of Brisbane on the Tropic of Capricorn. |
Aged Care facilities are sorely lacking in Regional Queensland
Central Queensland has a higher percentage of aging persons than the rest of Australia.
It is situated on the Tropic of Capricorn and is the Beef Cattle capital of Australia with huge cattle stations as well as enormous deposits of minerals.
